I have a collection of canvases that hover in various states of completion. I select individual pieces from this group and set them out so I can watch them while I'm working on paintings that have specific direction. Sometimes I can see exactly what these incomplete works need. These two studies came together like that . . . on the periphery. I do like to finish.
